Visitors - This uniquely identifies a user/client. This includes both new and repeat visitors

New Visitors - These are visitors who this is the first time they have visited your website.

Repeat Visitors - Completely new visitors to your site.

Hits - Total number of pages read (not items on a page like some 'hits'). This counts just one hit each time a page is read.

 

What does this page tell me?

This page shows you the trends on your website. By smoothing out the peaks using moving averages, you can get a better idea of whether your website visitors are increasing or decreasing.
Try setting the stats to the last year and the red line will indicate the smoothed out trend.
